In 1995, he graduated from Middle East Technical University International Relations Department.

He started his post in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997 and has held the following duties to date:

1999-2000 Trainee Career Official, Attaché at the Department of ARYD-I, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2000-2002 Vice Consul at the Turkish Consulate General in Karlsruhe

2002-2005 Third Secretary - Second Secretary at the Embassy of Turkey in Islamabad

2005-2006 Second Secretary at the Department of ABEY-II, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2006-2007 Second Secretary - First Secretary at the Department of ABKY-II, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2007-2011 Counsellor at the Embassy of Turkey in Tokyo

2011 - 2013 Head of Department at the Department of KOAY-II and İMAD-III, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2013 - 2017 Consul General of Turkey in Cologne

2017 - 2020 Head of Department at the Department of İMAD-II and DESD-II, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

He has been serving as the Consul General of Turkey in Shanghai as of 1 October 2020. He is married with one child.
